Something is Terribly Wrong
I have a 2010 Ss Camaro L99 and it’s very very slow I’m talking 14.7 1/4 mile in 97 Degrees weather and 14.2 when it cooled down but no engine light is on what wrong or what could be wrong cause I thought these cars ran miD 13’s

Could it be a loose nut between the seat and steering wheel? J/K. Need more information. Are you running with all nannies turn off? getting traction off the line? what's your 60' time? MPH? Are you using premium gas? Has the timing table been reset doing the #5 and #20 fuse pull to make sure the car is running on the premium fuel tables?

Do everything Benman suggest, and that should squeeze the most out of the stock 2010 SS. |

What's the DA? I've seen stock SS Camaros run low 14's and high 13's a lot at our local track.
Otherwise, you can try the fuse pull and see if that helps.

We need more information on the car.
Octane, stock tune, modded or not? The L99 is a great performer once tuned and modded, but in stock form can leave a bit to be desired. I didn't want to admit it at first but it is the nature of the car in stock form unfortunately. I remember trying to get frisky with a 2015 Mustang GT just after I got my car and while it was bone stock. It was embarrassing how badly that GT spanked me. Wasn't even close. It was that moment that I remember so clearly that the mod bug bit my ass. You do not need to open this engine up to have fun with it. It responds amazingly to bolt on parts and tune. Just remember that there is always someone out there with a faster car and bigger wallet. Also keep in mind that it is all relative. 20-30 years ago, some guys would have sold their soul to have a factory car running 14 second 1/4s. It is not slow. There are just a ton of fast cars now.

Those numbers could be about right depending on a few other factors. If you are bone stock it sounds like its time for some mods. Check out some of our package deals we have going on. It makes it real easy to add some power.

Pretty sure my old 2016 escape 2.0L turbo did 14 sec in the 1/4. Might have been 15 second, can't remember.

Those times are in line for a hot humid day in Georgia. Especially if you’re new to drag racing. You may hit a high 13 at ATCO. Lol

Rest in peace, Gringo. The Camaro5 world is just a little darker without him when threads like these pop up lol...
No but really, OP, listen to the guys, they speak the truth. And Jason at Juiced can feed that mod bug with some good discounts!

I have a bone stock 2010 L99 with all season tires.
The worst I have ever done is 14.2 or so, and that was my first time ever at a drag strip. Since then, I have made something like 40 runs and only three others were over 14.0 seconds. However, most were in the 13.8 range. Under 13.5 only happens on cool and cloudy days or at dusk. If you can't get better than 14.7, you may need to work on your launch before blaming the car. Do not jab the fast pedal, but instead count one thousand one as you step on it, while gradually releasing the brake with your left foot. |

Having fun and ragging on each other is one thing. He was just outright obnoxious and toxic. That stuff really wasn't good for the site. Which is a shame, as he was a decent person when he wasn't acting that way. He just got carried away and refused to reel it in.
