The guy likes sedans.

I just replaced his whole article with the above sentence. His editor should fire him and hire me instead.

We have to respect the imports, too. They do make good cars. We just need to give better reasons to buy domestics, or at least cars from our neighbors: the money stays home and our governments aren't oppressive and don't support cheap labor.

If I wanted to drive a sedan, I would drive the wife's Buick. Muscle cars are not family trucksters and shouldn't be downgraded for not seating 7 comfortably.

People complain about the economy, but they drive cars that invest in Europe and Asia. If they bought from companies at home, then there might not be such a bad economy here. Another good reason is that the US and Canada are democracies who protect their laborers. While South Korea and Japan are both democratic, they use cheap labor to do their work, oftentimes in neighboring countries. This sort of labor does not get the same legal protection as American workers. To protect the people of those countries, maybe we should stop supporting their working conditions so they have a better shot at equality. In summary, buy American to support workers and to keep the money at home.

Yea yea yea, I get all of that. What I didn't get is, what does any of it have to do with some jackass comparing the G8 to the camaro?

Even as a G8 GT owner, I disagree. G8 traps 105 tops, SS traps 110. Thats a fairly big difference in performance. One has 426hp, one has 361pm. That is 65 HP difference. Again big difference.

Both look great, but the Camaro will turn more heads.

a Camaro is almost never bought to be "practical", so his whole argument is based off a kid hauler/ grocery getter mentality.

I am not calling my car a typical kid hauler or grocery getter, but what I am saying is.. that is what this guy cares about.. He would likely have marked a Dodge Caravan higher than the Camaro..

Bottom line-- This was heavily slanted opinion based off his personal likes.
