modify RS or save n sell

I have a 2013 rs, sadly a v6, and im debating if its worth modding or just sell it and save for something better like a SS. Please share opinion because ive been on the fence for a few months now. Thanks

The v6 are fun cars and some people have done some crazy stuff with them. Personally if you want yi hi fast get a SS. If you just want a nice sounding car that looks good keep the 6 and get exhaust and exterior mods.

I had the V6 and did some of the modifications. I enjoyed the hell out of that car. The only reason I ended up trading up was because they made the deal so good I couldn't say no. I would tell you if the only thing your car doesn't have is the v8, skip it. Keep your car and mod it. If you're missing other things you want, look around, but be extra picky. Don't settle for anything less than everything you want at the price you want.

i have a stock RS and love it for what it is.a nice looking car that can be driven somewhat hard on the street without going straight to jail or making enough noise to cal the cops.i drive mine every day and wouldnt trade it in for a V8.how often can you go WOT on the street with your 6 cylinder anyway?

This is probably a bad time for me to throw my opinion in as I just completed a "therapy session" with my Z/28. As much as I love my LFX car it in no way compares to the power/sensation of a performance V8. There are so many good deals currently available on SS Gen 5 cars you may be selling yourself short by not taking advantage. Plenty of LEGAL venues to exercise your cars potential be it drag racing, autocross or road racing. I guess it boils down to the primary use of your vehicle. Is it a daily driver? Weekend hobby cruiser? Or do you want to get to the performance "next level"? RS V6 cars are cool/classy autos but if you really are serious about jumping up in HP you're miles and dollars ahead by going with an LS powered machine. Quoting my Father " The only substitution for cubic inches is MORE cubic inches".

Sure but the zl1 and z28 are as far from the v6 cars as my ss is from my wife's Accord. A whole different animal. He's not talking about jumping to the z, he's thinking about the ss. It's not as big a spread. I do agree about the purpose of the car helping to decide which way to go. If you want a track car, drag car, etc, jump into the v8. If it's more of a daily driver, stay with what you have. Like redcoat said, how often can you even use all the horses of the v6?

Save the V6 for a daily driver and get an SS to go fast in on the weekends!
