Opinion on fuel selection

Just picked up a 2013 2SS this winter. The car is just a weekend cruiser so it sits for a while before being driven, especially during the winter months since I’m in the north east. Car will be driven lightly during the summer months. Drivetrain is bone stock.
Local filling stations have 93 octane ethanol or a 90 octane non-ethanol. I’ve had problems in the past with ethanol fuel in my motorcycle because it doesn’t get ridden on a regular basis. My gut says use the non-ethanol but I figure I’ll ask here since I’m sure many of you have had to make this same decision.
Thanks in advance

90 octane is fine to put in it. If you used the 93 with ethanol then I would suggest adding Sta-Bil to the gas.

I just ran most of the last of my November fuel out of my Camaro this last weekend and it was untreated (no stabilizer added) and it was running fine. If you really run that few of miles you might want to add some stabilizer, but if you're running through a tank every couple months you'll be fine.

I'd run the 93. If it's going to sit a lot just use a stabilizer.

10 years of using ethanol fuel in my garage queen and nary an issue. If it makes you feel better...add stabilizer.

Just to add, like other said. You only need a fuel stabilizer if the fuel is going to be sitting unused for long term, ie for months. I add stabilizer to my generator, because I only run it maybe once a month; in preperation for hurricane season. I've had a tankful of e85 sit in my car for over 2 weeks and had zero problems. The E didn't even drop in alcohol content.

Same here. 93 octane with ethanol since 2010. No problem, but I always put in Sta-Bil for the 6 months of winter storage.

The other 6 months, NOT a garage queen.

Much like the chinese virus, i honestly think the ethanol horror stories are way over blown.

I have stored gas for long periods of time (1 year plus) and never had an issue but then again I'm not the one marketing fuel stabilizer.

90 or 93 is fine, but always use Top Tier brand gas (Mobil, Shell, Cosco). Top Tier adds the correct cleaners to keep your fuels system in shape. I always use Sta-bil 360 for Winter storage.
I've been using non-ethanol (Casey's 91 but not Top Tier) in my small engines, like weed-wacker and riding mower. Can't find top tier non-alcohol in my area.
Ethanol gas will eat through small engine fuel lines within 3-5 years, at least it did on my weed trimmer.

Modern cars like our Gen5 Camaro are perfectly happy running fuel with ethanol. Yes do use Sta-Bil if you put your car away for the winter, but otherwise it's an unnecessary expense.

I always use the treatment for winter storage of the Camaro, and I use it 100% of the time in the power tool gas can because I use so little during a year.

As for 93 vs 90 octane, I would go with the 93 and get the best performance and sound at WOT.

If you have been running lower grade fuel by the way you may wish to look into a fuse pull to reset the fuel table so you don't run weaker...……. just a thought...Good Luck!
