Future 5th gen parts support?

The ride in my sigs an original owner super clean and detailed V6 car with 16k on the clock. My original plan was to keep it into retirement six years-ish from now. My thoughts lately have me wondering how well the electronics will hold up and what kind of after market support will be available. GM has always had great after market support but on something like a 15 or 20 year old BCM Will they be classics with after market support?

Keep or sell?
You in it for the long haul?

Its all just opinions, but basing off the history of the other generations, I feel good. Parts will always be available, aftermarket especially. My favorite camaro made is my current 15 SS. Best body imo. I say keep

BCMs are always available used, there is a shit ton of 5th gens out there to get used ones once the parts are discontinued. Plus they can be remanufactured/rebuilt.

GM vehicles don't have very common computer/module problems anyways, parts will pretty much be easily available for these cars for the foreseeable future

Unless the car was hit in the past or involved in a flood, I don't see any problems with the electronics especially the solid state stuff. Servos, switches and the mechanical bits will wear out over time like normal.

Since they made so many 5th gens, there will be a readily available supply of used parts for the foreseable future. Also, factory NOS parts will be plentiful along with aftermarket support.

The only thing I would be concerned about is certain exterior/interior trim parts like weatherstripping being discontinued which would make it difficult to replace someday. However, the aftermarket suppliers usually reproduce those things after so many years. Unless you had a Z28 or COPO, I really wouldn't worry about it.
