2011 Camaro V6 won’t start on first crank but does on 2nd
Pretty much exactly what the title says. My car won’t start on the first crank after it’s sat over night or even an afternoon. It always starts up on the 2nd crank and will start right up if it hasn’t been very long since it was last on (i.e. 15-30 minutes).
Any thoughts on the cause? I took it to the local auto parts store and had the battery tested and it passes. I’m within the battery warranty window so may swap it out just because. Kid at auto part store said it could be a spark plug? Thoughts? Note: vehicle is a 2011 Camaro LS

Next cold start turn the key on. Turn it back off then turn it on again after a minute. If it starts right up you have a fuel pressure leakdown issue

It does sound like a fuel supply issue, not a battery issue.

Thanks all. This morning when I went to crank the engine after I did what @GreenHornet2 recommended it did the same thing, it actually took 4 tries instead of the usual 2. Once started, I let the car run for a minute or so and then turned it off. I immediately went to turn it back on and it took 2 tries to fire up.
I did not move the car but went to work out. After that I then came back (about a hour later) to start up the vehicle. This time it fired right up on the first turn. The check engine light is not on so I cannot have a code read. Outside of the nuisance of having to deal with trying to start the car multiple times. Any immediate concerns? |

I wonder if the valves being all carboned up would cause this?
