Options for lowering my 2014 2ss

Hi guys so I have been busy on the car, lerick custom designs did awesome on my lights. I am curious though I have been wanting to lower it just a little especially with the aero kit on there but not sure what coil overs to look into or other options I am open for suggestions and photos if you have any.

Do you track the car? How much do you want to spend? Coilovers are pretty pricey. If you're not tracking it, look into lowering springs. A fraction of the cost, but give you the appearance you desire. I have Hotchkis springs on mine and they're great! ~1.5" drop, it handles like it's on rails and rides better than stock. Shop around and make certain to get your bushings timed when having it lowered. Good luck!

I don't track it. I dont however want to effect the suspension negatively, and local shops were telling me to stay away from lowering springs I am not to sure lol. So what ever I do I feel like anytime you change parts always upgrade them lol, so that's why I am hesitant just to buy something that looks Kool

Dude, Hotchkis all the way. Get the entire set, Springs (1" - settles around 1.25"), Sways, Endlinks, Chassis and Strut braces...

I can tell you its day and night, not harsh - FIRM... and the response, feels like you're driving a go kart lol.

I have been lowered via springs since Feb 2010, and track my car. Zero issues with alignment, so curious to why shops are telling you to stay away. Or they telling you that because they don't want to do the work?

I have Hotchkis too. Love the fitment and ride. After install I had my front alignment spot on and they only had to adjust my rear a bit.

Lowering springs are fully functional as others here have stated. They're just not as hardcore as coilovers. I would buy my Hotchkis springs over and over again. They got rid of the ugly wheel gap, they tightened up the handling and it rides better than stock. What more could I ask for?

With your shop telling you to avoid them...I'd question their legitimacy.

Any pics of your Camaro's with the Hotchkis springs I'm seriously considering getting a set. Are the okay to use with stock struts < 24K on them?

You're good up to ~1.5" drop on stock struts. Go to my album and you'll see some pics.

You're fine with the stock struts. I haven't replaced mine at 130k, but probably thinking staying stock on that end when the time comes. I could go with a set of 1LE shocks/struts, but I love how the car rides so much, I don't think I want to change this.

Pics are plastered all over my Album. They show about what you're going to get...
