R6P question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I took a beating the last time I asked this, but never got an explanation. So here it goes again.

What exactly does it mean when someone says they have a "R6P" camaro? Specifics please.

if you ordered prior to march something... its an early order car.

Not sure why people would give you the beat down. R6P cars got a special welcome kit. Unless you were lucky, you really didnt get anything except a car that sat in QC forever or an allocation that took months longer than it should have.

A nice group got their cars first but in the end I have no regrets on waiting till May to order. Got my car in 11 weeks.

It also shows up on the window sticker and could be considered to be worth more as a collector's item.

Alot of R6P 'rs never got the welcome kit either-including me!!

What did you order and whats your last 5 of the VIN? I ordered May 23rd and got it Aug 13. I bet ours were close on the line.

I didnt' get a build date till the week of July 24 or 27

The pic had your name and order number on it too... and a downloadable version along with letter. I ordered in Oct and never got mine. We found out there was a deadline for dealerships to request Welcome Packages for those who didn't get them. My salseman sent the required e-mail on the last day and I did finally get mine.
