just hit your onstar button and they can answer all your questions and get you set up properly. the dealeship only activates saying the car has been sold but they should have told you to press the onstar and get things set up for your personal account.

I am pretty sure that XM is free for 3 months. Check your window sticker.

XM is active for 3 Months, you can go online to the web site, It will show you when it was activated and when the deactivation date is. When I first looked my XM up the date was not a full 3 months. I called them up told them the date that I took delivery and they gave me 3 months from there. I do believe they check with the dealer since they called me 2 days after I called XM. The dealer was concerned that something was wrong with the car.
Remember if you keep the XM go for the ZWINBACK package to get the $77 a year price.
Just wondering how XM going to jerk me around next year !

Mine was free for 3 months. It wasn't activated until the cutie at the dealer was going through all of the features with me.

Thanks for the tip on the ZWINBACK package Mr. Butt I have gone through XM withdrawals before and they were a beast. This time I am not giving it up.

As far as OnStar, we are required to submit the information before you pick it up, so they have it when you push the blue button....or we (dealers) get penalized.

XM is line of site of the satellites - otherwise it drops since it's digital. There are cities with XM repeaters (on the ground) - my former company made many of them for XM. Never gotten a bill, just letters in the mail asking to sign up. Call them and be sure you're canceled. Mine ended earlier this month and I have NO intention of subscribing...

XM is a racket. I've about had it with them. Just cancelled the silverado and CTS and will not renew Vette when it expires. I do not want to extend past the trial period with the SS, but will see. Don't ever give them your credit card # if you do purchase their service and don't pay more than 77.00. Once they have your credit card they will continue to bill even after you cancel, then they send paper bills for service you are not getting or wanting.
If they simply had one low price and you can either get it or not, with no games, it would be fine but sadly that is not the case.

XM and Sirius used to be good. Now it is more commercials, just like regular radio. I want to listen to music, not commercials.
I won't renew when my trial is up. XM and Sirius both suck now.
