replacement ECU for 2011 3.6 2LT

so I am helping a friend replace the ECU in her 2011 Camaro 3.6L 2LT due to an electrical short which damaged the ECU

I am having trouble finding a replacement.. I have search on the forum so please excuse me if this topic has been covered.

The dealership is saying they are on backorder with no sign of being available any time soon. Some ECU refurbished sellers don't have anything in stock for the 3.6L I have search on eBay but I am not finding the option for the 2LT model.

Does the ECU for the 1LT work with the 2LT model? are there other models that use the 2LT model ECU? GMC Cadillac ect? is the only thing I need to watch for is the service number and part number to match? And from my understanding the dealership has to reprogram the ecu, correct? do they need to have with Camaro at the dealership or just the ECU?

thanks in advance for any help

I'm no mechanic, but I believe the differences in the LT models are non-engine related (trims, lights, etc). I just browsed online and found ECUs available at my local AutoZone and Advance. There was no option for 1LT vs 2LT, but rather just LT, but if it were me, I'd confirm that with someone more in the know (dealership, for example).
