Hello....new and have questions....

Hi all....

Soon to probably be a 2019 2SS manual trans (possibly a 1LE package if I can get them to talk!!). Was wondering if there are any common issues with these cars. Anything to look for or watch once I get it. My current "fleet" consists of a 2018 Scat Charger (end of lease) and a 2008 Pontiac Solstice that's dyno tuned to ~340hp. So hp is nothing new to me. I'm looking for just common or high failure rates of certain things. Like on the Solstice, the waterpump was a common failure in about 85% by 45k miles. And it's super expensive (about $1500 at the dealership) to replace. The timing chains are common by 100k on the turbo cars and expensive. On the Charger, it's tie rod ends and delaminating of the infotainment system. So things such as this would be helpful. If I get the 2SS 1LE (25k miles) it's red with black....if I get the 2SS, I have 2 choices, both have less then 10k on them...one white and one red...both are 6 speeds. It will be a daily driver and in the upper midwest. Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome.

Peruse the forum & you'll find various things here & there.

Many of us have gone years with no problems while others are less fortunate in that regard.

As for purchase options: I go for as low a miles as possible, most options for the best value. YMMV.

Thanks... I just thought I'd ask if there was anything to look out for....especially the 1LE pkg. Don't want to be replacing those shocks at 40k!! I appreciate the welcome guys.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with the purchase.

Both the 2SS and the 1LE are fantastic cars. My first 6th Gen was a 2017 2SS and she was flawless. Fuel pump issues exist pre 2019 I believe, but you’re looking at 19’s. As gtfoxy stated, you’re in the right place to do some solid research. There’s a plethora of knowledge here.
