Strange Thing Happening

I noticed while driving if I put the car in neutral at say 50 mph the engine revs up to 1800, the second I push in the clutch it drops down to idle. If I put the car in neutral while coasting to a stop it will rev to 1800 until I get to 2 mph then it will drop down to idle speed. Does anyone know what is happening????

Had my car recently tuned, and mine. When I am coming to a stop and I’m using my brakes in neutral it will idle at around 2 grand or so, until I come to a complete stop and then it will idle at 800 rpms or so at complete stop. I do have a heavy cam in my car. So I am not totally sure if it’s normal for stock.

Mine does this as well, has ever since it was tuned. I believe it is a normal of the idle circuit program. Been tuned for 9 years, cammed for 3.

There's a rolling idle setting that my tuner adjusted so it only comes up a couple hundred rpm.
