Air Intake Problem - Please Help!

Hi,

I installed a CAI Inc intake about a month ago and up until last night all was great.

However, last night I noticed what sounded like a really pronounced hiss when I gave the gas a little burst - it never used to do this and it doesnt sound like it should do this, although I could be wrong.

The noise seems to be coming from the Filter itself.

Of course, I thought Air Leak straight away so I took it all off, and reconnected - everything is tight, and Ive checked the filter for any visible cracks and it all looks fine.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? I'm totally stumped Maybe its not even an issue!

I've tried to capture a video of the (proposed) issue here to help though

Any advice much appreciated

Sounds normal to me for a CAI.. They always get that 'gasp' of air when you stab the accelerator.

I am not hearing any hiss or sound that does not sound normal to me, the air movement you are hearing sounds completely like it should. Not to mention your lid is off which means the noise you are hearing should be even quiter with the lid on and the hood shut. Honestly, everything looks and sounds 100% normal to me, their is no issue that I can see or hear.

Well apparently I'm an idiot haha

I am 99.9% positive that this noise only started last night though, and its been on for a month, hence why I thought it was an issue.

Maybe I need to stop drinking so much coffee

In my defense, 2 other people at my work looked at it aswell - they both suggested it wasn't normal and one has a corvette so I was convinced he knew was he was talking about - apparently not

Sorry for wasting your time - and thanks for the mega quick response!
