There are 20,540 Camaros waiting to be bought...

Per todays 'headline' story on the front page of the website:

Production Stats:

Total Camaros produced to date 82,188

Delivery (sales) Stats:

Total April - December Deliveries: 61,648

But my buddy hasn't tracked down what he's looking for yet.

Shouldn't be too hard to find a Black 2SS/RS with auto and sunroof... should it... should it???

I better tell Bob to get off his butt and track one down.

He's looking for a 2+2 to drive when he's schlepping the girlfriend and her kid around.

Funny thing is, for him - the Camaro would be the grocery getter, commuter, "practical car"... compared to his C5.

It's the opposite for us - the Camaro is the 'fun car', weekend car, 'no kids' car... compared to our truck.

How many of those are somewhere between "produced" and "delivered to dealer"?

How many are "Sold retail orders"?

yes the inventory is building . . . but the dealers around here (central Massachusetts) are still holding out for MSRP or close to it . . . maybe by the time Washington's Birthday rolls around they'll really want to move some of them

Yeah I would bet a decent amount of those are ordered cars somewhere between the end of the line in oshawa and in the customer's driveway...

Checkout cars.com to see how many Camaros are available. Of course, this isn't completely accurate as it doesn't update sold cars very fast, but if you watch it daily, you'll get a good idea of the num avail in your area.

For example, the past few months in the St. Louis area, I watched the supply creep from from 80ish to 140ish with about 3 appearing per day. They are out there, so I hope that means deals to be had locally (else I'm flyin' to WI to meet Scotty).

If he is willing to travel cross country, there are about 5-7 up at Doyle Chevrolet in Webster, NY, and Cavallaro-Neubauer Chevrolet-Pontiac in Williamson, NY, has 3 in the showroom, one being a Transformers Edition.

Abacojeff, if your buddy does not mind traveling or shipping a car to him, here is what he is looking for.

They have 6 on there lot. There are a small town car lot that are great to work with. If he is interested, pm me or email me. I can let him know who to talk to.

A black 2SS is the most popular color and seems to be the most popular model. It is the the most common combination of available cars in my area. Should be easy to find one somewhere, especially with the extreme cold and poor weather conditions across most of the country.
