Camaro "The Chaser" - Turning a road car to a race car
The first trackday of this Camaro was in december 2022.
Almost 3 years and a half of development, now it's almost a full racing car. But still has license plates and occasionally rides on the streets. We are from São Paulo, Brazil. Most of our races are in Interlagos circuit, where is held the brazilian F1 GP. I'm one of the drivers and one of the developers of this build, lookling for interaction and trade of information here. Let's go to the specs: - 2015 5th gen Camaro SS (originally with a L99 and an automatic gearbox) - LS3 stroker running on E100 - ECU Fueltech FT600 - 475whp - dry sump - Bilstein b14 custom shocks for R37 springs - fiberglass hood and doors - lexan wondows - 100L capacity tank for endurance races - C6R wheels 18x11 front and 18x13 rear - Yokohama slick tires 280 front and 300 rear - Tilton multidisk clutch - alluminum flywheel - Willwood front and rear calipers - 380mm front and 356 rear disk brakes - Tilton proportioning valve - no ABS - roll cage - racing seat, belt and steering wheel - stripped interior - aero mods including front splitter, hood outlets, front quarter outlets, airfoil and others - 4 speed H pattern gearbox - 3,27 ratio rear end - currently racing with a Days of Thunder tribute livery

We are now looking for an Eaton truetrack for it, but the material released by Eaton says that it's made for 3,45 and 3,72 ratios.
We use here 3,27 and 3,91. Will it fit? Have somebody already did this?

Also, we'll try running a squared tire setup. Either 280's on all four corners, or 300 on all four corners. Probably will require some adjustments in the suspension setup.
We have a feeling that this will work well. In case it doesn't, will at least be worth the try.

Very cool setup! Here is a link to some truetrac info. In post #5 Andrew Cammer from GPI confirms that it will work with all 218 mm ratios. I just installed mine with AAM 3.91's. You can send him a pm with any questions.
This is from the Eaton site: A quality, petroleum-mineral based, GL5 rated 80w-90 gear oil should be used. Synthetic oils are not recommended for Truetrac applications. https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=609452

Nice build, From my understanding it will work with all ratios, Eaton has good service so you could contact them as well to confirm.

If you can source a 2014/15 Z28 it’s a Torsen limited slip basically a Tru-Trac and it came factory with 3.91’s.

He could try and find a Z/28 Rear but the cost isn't worth it since he already has the housing and the gear ratio he wants, just needs the Diff unit.
