You know you've done a good burnout when ...

the tires are dripping off the splash guards. Had a good time at the track yesterday with 9 runs. It was sunny and about 77 degrees. My best time was 13.2 at 107 mph and when DA compensated it turns into 12.96. No too bad for completely stock with just a CAI.

I thought I could have done a little better but spun some every time off the lights. My best times were without doing any burnouts (and avoiding the water box), since I was informed that street tires get slicker when hot. Don't know for sure but it seemed to work for me.

I guess the splash guards are really tire catchers now .

yea, street tires get slimey when hot, its best just to avoid the water box and give it a quick hit to spin the rocks and such out of the treads

Why are you doing burnouts with street rubber at the track? Heating up street tires (ie. big smokey burnouts) will actually hurt your traction. It sounds like you already knew this by you comments, so why do it? It's no surprise you had your best 60ft times when you didn't do a burnout.
