Ticking noise

Starting up the car first thing in the morning there’s no ticking. After driving it the ticking noise comes up. Just got new lifters, pushrods, rod bearings and a melling oil pump. Ticking noise is still there. Could it be a simple exhaust leak?

Could also be the injectors too, sometimes they tick a little loudly, or yes you could have a header leak.

Injector ticking is unique to direct injection engines because of high fluid pressure.

Not an issue for LS3 and L99.

Header leaks can be diagnosed with a "smoke machine".

Did you upgrade the trunnions ? My buddy had cheap set of trunnion and one of the races got chewed up causing a tick .

If it isn’t anything states above , I’d pop
The valve covers off and look closely at the rocker arms . You can take a spark plug out and spin the motor over to where the rockers are off lobe and check for slack in the rocker . Eoic. Exhaust opening intake closing .

No ticking noise after turning on the car when it sits overnight until I start driving it for a bit. The ticking also ticks faster when accelerating

Exhaust leaks are usually more noticeable cold. Judging by the parts you had replaced I'm assuming you had a oil pressure issue? If so what was it and what is it now? Also is it a L99 or LS3? Is the ticking noise causing any random misfire codes P0300-P0308? Do you have a scanner that will show live data? Look at the current misfire data and see if there are any random misfires....the counts will and can be too small to set a code, and you can't feel them.

If there are random misfires, take a good look at the rollers on your old lifters. If there is any pitting or irregular wear, there will be the same on the camshaft lobe. I have encountered this many times in these engines, and it causes strange noises such as squeek and tick noise at idle. I only suggest this because I see you replaced the lifters but not the camshaft.
