Blower Sound after Solid Isolator Swap
Ok so as I have mentioned in several other threads, I just completed the replacement of the spring isolator with an OEM Eaton solid isolator in my 2013. Car has 6800 miles. After getting through a couple of other issues the car now seems to be running well. I have 2 questions. The car idles at 15kpa of Vacuum on the boost gauge. Is this normal? I never paid any attention before. Also the blower is making some noise at idle. Almost seems like a subtle roaring sound. Not sure if this is normal or not. I had the marble sound at idle before so maybe that was covering this up? Pulley and blower seemed to spin well when I spun by hand. Just not sure if this is normal or another issue possibly. I have a video but cant see how to upload it here. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I was noticing an actual gain in boost PSI on mine. I had the dealer warrantied work done this summer, and now when I data-log my runs, I'm finding that I'm actually making closer to 12lb, as opposed to the 8-9lb I was making previously.
Car runs great, no complaints at all. |
