Camaro Road Trip

At the granddaughter's request, her and I will be taking a Camaro road trip up into Montana this coming May after she gets out of school. She gets her license in a couple weeks and she's been pushing for this for a couple years now.

It's kind of a tradition in the family that goes back a few generations - grandkid takes off across the country with the grandparents. My uncles did it, I and many cousins did it, my daughter did it and now the granddaughter.

Between now and then, I will be getting the 2013 SS completely up to snuff: brakes, tires, leaks, etc. Presumably, she will be doing a lot of the driving so I want to make sure everything is up to par of course.

Not sure how much we'll be able to pack into the week but we'd like to hit Zion, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Custer battlefield, and Gem Mountain in Montana where we'll be meeting some friends.

The kid is on her way to full recovery from her awful wreck several weeks ago. She sent this pic tonight that was taken today:

Back on the horse! Good to see! Sounds like the trip will be a grand adventure and you've got plenty o' time to prep the Camaro.

Yes indeed! Definitely going to put new tread on the beast...I'm afraid to see what that will set me back with all the horror stories I've been hearing about the cost of tires now.
