I stopped by the local Chevy dealer today to order my 4pack guages while I was in town. So I walked in and asked if the parts department was still open, and unfortunatly it had closed 5 min b4 I got there and apparently everyone was gone already. So the salseman goes "I hope it wasn't anything too important". I replied "I just wanted to see what kind of price u got to get me a 4pack guage cluster for a new camaro". Then get this. he goes "well I could sell you a new camaro"

I gave him a wierd look and asked him why would I need 2 of them? My car was sitting right outside the showroom and there was a direct line of sight to it. They had to see me get out of it, I was the only person in the whole lot. Then they asked if I had bought it from there. I laughed and walked out

I stoped in to my dealer about a month before mine came in with the wifes Traverse and one of the salesmen came over. I told him I had a Red Jewel camaro on order and he said "let me show you one we have here." He showed me an IOM camaro and said "its almost red". I am not blasting IOM but IT IS NOT RED.

Its closer to RED than RJT... what an idiot (not you, the salesman).

The IOM and RED are actually very similar but RJT is unmistakeable! Great color, enjoy it!

One thing I can't stand is dealers think, "Oh this guy wants a CGM, but I don't have one, let me show and try to persuade him to buy a SIM or Black" I mean come on! There is a reason, why I am set on that color, why would I be insistent on CGM if I had a backup color choice?

Honestly, if ABM was still available to order when I put mine in, I would have. But CGM is it for me

I had a similar situation when I asked about adding accessories to my Camaro. Clueless not to noticed it when I almost parked it into the showroom. What ticked me off was when they were giving me the cool shoulder cause my Camaro was a striped RY and the dealer never had one in their lot. How selfish can some of these dealer be?

I think he was just trying to make small talk to establish some form of relationship. He may not have been that good at it though, lol.

If I was a salesman and I had a family to feed, I wouldn't ever let a potential opportunity just walk out the door, even if that opportunity was just networking, establishing rapport, etc...

I would have had him write up the paper work for the car and then said no I change my mind $30k is a little more than I was looking to spend on gauges.

How dare anyone make a joke with a Camaro owner, about Camaros.

C'Mon folks, Lighten up. Good Lord. THere are people suffering from an Earthquake in Haiti, people starving somewhere, and we have to get all bent out of shape because a Sales person jokes with you about your car.

Smell the roses and enjoy life my friend! Ain't worth getting all bent out of shape about minor junk.

Last week I call my local dealer to see if they had any Camaro brochures, I just got my 1SS on 12/31 (from a different dealer who did not have any brochures avail. when i bout the car) So i left a message and 10 minutes later a sales rep calls and starts talking prices with me for a new Camaro, i respectfully tell him that I already have one and just need the brochure, he tells me they do not have any left. Fast foward a week later and I have 14 new voice mails on my phone from the dealership asking me to come in to look at the new Camaros, thats two calls a day i was receiving from them!!

(PS I left my phone on the roof of my work car and took about a week to get a new one
