Bumper rust

I have my bumper cover off and I noticed this rust. When I installed my blower 2 years ago the rust was barely a spot. How worried should I be about this spreading? Is there a rust inhibitor that actually works?

Not anything to really worry about unless you are planning to keep the car forever. I have used Mastercoat Rust coating for years and been satisfied with it-just dont get it on your hands they will be silver for about two weeks.

Lol, silver hands would be fun to have to explain 10 times a day I am sure. Thanks for the tip and referral.

Sand it or wire brush it, prime and paint it. Use rust inhibitors where you can’t do this properly.

This.
My suggestion would be to pull the crash bar and have it blasted and re painted. You’ve got to get all the rust stripped off of it or it will just keep coming back. Inhibitors aren’t going to be nearly as effective as just doing it right the first time.

Mine looked the same. Now the crash bar is sitting in my garage for a year now. I don’t advise it though lol
Will be doing further weight reduction stuff so was gonna be removed anyway.

I saw one on eBay for $129 no rust. I am going to do some body prevention this summer, probably tackle it then. The Jack point and some small spots on the base of the doors are showing some tiny spots. My plan is to retire her from DD next year, turn her into a show car and track car.
