2015 V6: Dash thinks it's in neutral. Shifter stuck in park
So I pulled in to a parking spot, did not shut the car off, then pulled it out from park to reverse. The shifter lost all it's tension and slid back to Manual. Slid it back in to Park, now it won't release. The dash thinks it's in neutral. Car starts fine. Anyone guesstimate how to fix?

Not sure exactly what's malfunctioning but after a lot of searching I found this. Might at least get you back to home base and allow you to inspect in this area for obvious defects. Page 9-25 of owners manual.

So I ended up towing it to the shop and they said the linkage was disconnected at transmission for shifter. They reconnected the linkage and charged me $100 for it.
Reason why it's taken me 3 years to reply? It just happened again
