Back up sensor sounds...
2011 Camaro SS, Automatic. When I put the car into reverse, there is a solid beep for a few seconds. The sensors do work and beep as they should. Just not sure if the solid beep at first is normal or not.

Manual car but mine does that. Solid beep for a second or two once it goes into reverse.

Ah okay, so the solid beep when out into reverse is normal.

No, the solid beep is not normal unless there's something really close. Are you inside a garage when it happens?

I believe it is normal. Mine does the same thing.
I always thought it beeped like that to confirm that you put the car in reverse.

Mine doesn't do any sounds when it's first put in reverse. I very vaguely recall that there is a setting in the config that effects the back up senors that I changed so that might be a place to look.

Mine does a long solid beep when put in reverse as well but mine is a manual.

My manual does that but I always thought it was because I was in a tight two-car garage as I backed out. I don't think my automatic does that but it's a 1SS.

Same here. manual. Slightly longer beep when I first go into reverse

auto trans here, mine does a long like 2 second beep then short beeps
