What will be your answer?

So, the time of the year is approaching where all of the girls and boys are gonna start worrying about prom dates, their dress and tux colors, and, a huge tradition in my town, WHAT NICE CAR THEY WILL TAKE!
My question is how is everyone gonna answer if a kid asks to drive your car to prom. I have a lot of friends who are seniors in high school and I already drove the homecoming queen during Homecoming back in the fall.
I just don't know if I want someone driving my car, even if it's only for a few blocks.

Not a problem I have, but if I was asked, the answer would be H@ll NO! Take a Limo, or a taxi if you want, but stay away from my car.

I wouldn't let anyone drive my car. For my prom my Great Uncle let me take his Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.

Dude, that's freakin' awesome!!!

No way man. My dad has a 2001 Corvette and when I was going to the prom there was no way I was going to ask if I could drive it, I didn't want to leave a car like that in a hotel parking lot where someone could hit it. It is much different if it is your own car. If I had the Camaro in HS then I'd take it, but it would have been my car not someone else's car.

Well, they aren't my kids. I'm 18 and they are 1 year younger than me...lol. I would only let a really responsible person drive, but I don't trust the people in front and behind them in line.
If you take a limo to our prom, you are a loser. Everyone competes to get the "new" thing, and right now, my 2SS/RS is among the best around.

Two things men are not meant to share: underwear and cars.

It's prom. Get a limo, let somebody else worry about driving you, and you can pay attention to your date. No reason to let somebody else use you and your car just to impress a girl. They won't take care of your car and you won't get the girl. Plus if people are drinking (I am not advocating breaking the law ), you don't want that to factor in to the situation.

Leave the car at home. Rent a limo.

The routine where I come from is you drive the car to the entrance to prom, get out, get pictures taken by tons of older people, then as you walk away the owner of the car gets in and drives away. They would have my car for about 10 minutes on a 3 or 4 block span.

I can't really give input on the subject... my tux was the orange one from Dumb and Dumber. And I'm from an area where people consider a good prom meal to be the Whataburger by the Bay.

In all seriousness/honesty... OP says "a kid". Well if it was some random kid then I would probably decline. However if it was my son/daughter/friend's kid (that I trust) maybe. My dad let me take his '30 model A, because he knew I was responsible... and because it still needed to be 'broken in'.
