Vertical door replacement shocks
Does anyone know what size and pressure shock for replacement on vertical doors ? VDI shocks are ridiculously priced was hoping to get an aftermarket shock replacement and I don’t want to take it apart until I have the replacement.

Do yourself a favor OP, don't skimp on the shocks, one of my buds did, and they didn't last at all. He ended up getting the original VDI ones. Ya get what you pay for!!

Yes vertical doors are also called lambo doors. And I would like to go with the VDI shocks but they are $150 each +$35 for shipping and don’t really have that right now just looking for size and pressure from anyone who has replaced them, thank you .

I do not have an answer for this exactly but I do know the doors weigh right around 53lbs and when figuring out what shocks you need for most things it is 13 newtons for every pound so with quick math that puts the weight you would need at around 689. This may not give you a direct answer but maybe it will point you in the correct direction.
