Motorsports and other sports

For hours me and my friends argued whether motorsports is a sport. I 100% agree that motorsports is a sport. So let's take a vote, is motorsports a sport. Yes or no?

Whenever someone tries to downplay motorsports to me, I always invite them to go carting or autocross with me. Haven't had anyone take me up on the invite yet. If they do, they'll learn.

Motorsports?

Like does riding count?

(Quads, Dirtbikes, Sandrails. etc)

It takes some serious endurance to hang with some of the decent riders out there.

To drive at the top levels in racing (Indy Car F1 Leman Prototypes) you need to be extremely fit most of these guys train using some combination of Iron Man Triathlon(Running Swimming Biking)

I vote Yes

Motorsports is certainly a sport as it demands high-level fitness, sharp reflexes, and strong mental focus. This interview with Patrick Harding, performance coach for F1 driver Alex Albon, gives a great look at the physical and mental work that goes into it:
