My topic was how do you remove a frog from a gas tank? It literally happened to my wife in her Pathfinder yesterday. She removed the gas cap to fill up and saw a frog halfway in the filler neck and the gas flap opening. She tried getting it out and it decided to slide down the filler neck and drop into the gas tank. So which mod is responsible for handling OT since you are still waiting??

I was (and still am) pretty disappointed. The post I made was to remember all of our fallen Veterans during Memorial Day. You'd think a post like that wouldn't get sent to Camaro5 Purgatory but one never knows.

I can't help you with the moderators, but I'm pretty sure you will have to drop the tank to retrieve the frog carcass. Try to get most of the gas out of it before you drop it.

this happened to me awhile back.....its like it dropped into a black hole.....I know a few of the mods personally and was told that they couldn't help, that only TRAN, the admin of the site, manages this. I even tried to delete the thread, waited a day and tried to start it again....same result. send a message to the admin and never got a response. I just deleted it and gave up.......and the thread was about the death of my granddaughter.

on top of all that....in the last 17 years that I have been a member of this forum, this is the one and only time this has ever happened. and I have started numerous threads in the off tipic since....no problems. so go figure.

I dug through my archives and found a screenshot I retained for reference.

Yep, happened to me twice this year! Pretty bummed. I tried posting well wishes for all the folks here in Florida before BOTH of the hurricanes, to be safe and hope all goes well! Still haven't seen anything!! I guess they did that so all those "spammer/scammers" couldn't trash up that section. But yea, someone needs to monitor the posts and "approve" them..

Most of the responses I received on the Nissan Forums state that the frog would end up being dissolved from the harsh chemicals and end up being absorbed by the gasoline and eventually burn off. I was also told to keep the gasoline above half a tank for at least a month and I shouldn't have any issues. Although there were a few who said to drop the tank. Pic of the frog that decided to slide down the filler neck...

This begs the question: How did the frog get in there in the first place?
