02 sensor

Question about my O2 sensors, I attached a photo below of the scan..

The car has NO cel but it was running weird, not feeling as snappy or loud for a couple days so I decided to scan it. I got those codes back and I’ve done my google search of it but I’m curious with headers and tune…

1-How would aftermarket headers affect this?
2-If the 02 sensors were cleared out during tuning would they still pop up on my fairly cheap obd scanner?

I’m sure this is pretty common so I figured someone’s dealt with it and can save me some time, will swapping bank 1 & 2 downstream (sensor2) O2 sensors solve it most likely? Also would both upstream senses still be there with the TSP headers?

Thanks for any replies just trying to get an understating of it

The rears are deleted out with headers but will show on a scan as a stored code. With a tune they only use the front O2 sensors.

So would I just disregard these codes then? If I’m not mistaken these codes are for the rear O2 sensors which would be sensor 2. The car is definitely running worse but that’s the only thing popping up on the scanner so I’m assuming it needs to be addressed

How would a “stored code” appear on the obd reader? In this instance it’s yellow and shows it as a “mild” problem, I’m not sure if the owner before me tuned them out or not and how I can even go about figuring out if he did. It was already tuned when I got it so I’m not sure what was done and what I should ignore. Thanks in advance, just confused a bit.

Would replacing the downstream sensors help at all? If the car wasn’t running weird I wouldn’t mind but it’s definitely running weird, and I don’t tune so im not really sure how that’ll all play into each other. I keep reading that they get tuned out but the vehicle is running worse so I’m not sure if these sensors are even linked to it

So them being marked Permanent just means that they had set a code but the ECM never cleared it so since the code the vehicle has never met the conditions that it expects and then clears it on it's own. A regular scanner can not clear these codes. I am assuming they could be cleared by the tuner. The down stream sensors really are there to make sure the Cat's are working correctly and should not effect how the car is running. I would look else where for your running issue.

Permanent codes can't be cleared with HP Tuners. And I don't think it can be cleared with any other tuner program. Either the equipment has to be reinstalled or and let the test complete or the ECM has to be completely reprogrammed through SPS programming, and the codes turned off prior to startup. And I'm not 100% sure that the reprogram gets rid of them.

That is what I figured, I just wasn't 100 % sure if HP Tuners could or not.
