Yep. When the Camaro first came out, there was some that cut it open and figured out that the slot is too small and made zero difference in air flow. So unless you have some idea to make it look cool, there is no reason to mess with it.

There is/was a kit to convert it to functional, but again, super small and a lot of work for not much. Better off to have functional hood vents.
