Seat air bag

Good evening. I will be changing out the drivers upper seat cover soon. My question is, is the air bag part of the seat cover or part of the seat foam? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Back when we did my Katzkins seats I believe the airbag has a bracket on it and is bolted to the outside of the upper seat back frame, with a plug connector as well. If you are not doing any mods to the foam padding, you should be alright, if you are like we did with mine, we put some extra foam in there, we had to take the airbags out, then reinstall them after. Either way, make sure you disconnect your battery's negative cable to prevent any accidental deployment while working on the seats. Hope this is good info.
