2013 2LTRS to 2011 2SS conversion
For the knowledgeable on this topic please. No 'just buy a 2SS' comments please. This will happen as I already have the 2011 2ss manual donor car and a 2013 RS auto.
The TLDR: Will the interior and dash wiring harness of the 2013 RS work with the 2011 BCM? Both cars have the sunroof, HUD, backup beepers, electric and heated seats, etc. The 2011 doesn't have Mylink but thats not a biggie for me as I don't care much for it anyway. I know the engine harness won't work of course so I know thats coming out. I just wanted to know if the interior harness will work, or if any part of it will work before I guess stripping both cars. My plan is to strip everything out of both and put the 2011 harnesses in the 2013 shell along with the engine and manual trans. If I can skip the interior harness I will. But if not thats ok, just more work to the project. The reason is that I have a 2013 RS that I bought new and always wanted to get the 2SS but I could never find it in my color near me at a reasonable price. Now they are near impossible to find anywhere close to me, and I got a great deal at auction for this 2011 with low miles that is perfect from a mechanical stand point but is totaled otherwise. Started the process of stripping the cars, I'll post updates when I can if anyone is interested. I appreciate everyone who looked at the thread even if you didn't post. I realize this topic is polarizing to say the least. But I didn't think the harnesses were compatible but it didn't to ask.

I hope you get a response soon to assist in your project. I really do not get the V6-V8 differences among folks on this forum. It's quite sad if you ask me. I have owned both V6 and V8 vehicles throughout my life... and the V6 5th Gen Camaro's have more performance than the earlier V8's. It is what it is.

Some of the pics are out of sequence but I tried to keep them in order. Started the SS interior harness install, should have it all done with the headliner as well done today. Stay tuned!
