Anyone running the BTR Valve covers with Coil Mounts? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey all,
I know I asked about the Holley Valve covers in the past but I just ordered the BTR with Coil mounts, I am hoping these will clear the LSA SC and help with the coil mounts as The stock LS3 covers need to be modified from what I am reading with the LSA SC conversion. Hopefully these cover's work nicely and help with conversion,, These were not cheap that is for sure, Price didn't seem bad until I added a few of the options.

Yeah I Like them I think they have a clean look, I was thinking about the Holley ones or Powder coating factory ones but I like these ones.

Just a heads up on my experience with aftermarket valve covers, not necessarily the BTR ones...be careful of not having baffles at the vent, it is very easy to suck too much oil into the catch can system. Your results may vary but I had a terrible time with mine.

Larry which did you run? Are you still running them? I Hope the BTR ones don't have an issue as they were quite expensive once you add all of the add ons. I heard early Holley covers had issues.

I have the Holley tall covers on my engine, haven't had any issues yet with too much oil in the can. Just a normal amount at oil changes, maybe about a tablespoon or so.. I also run a vented valve cover breather with a one way check valve by CFM for the Holley covers.

Yeah, my issue came from the whipple creating too much vacuum and having to control that.

I ended up working with Mighty Mouse along with some of my own ideas to control the vacuum signal created by the whipple while still giving any potential blow-by a good place to go.

No, I have the Holley tall covers because I needed them to clear the Yella Terra rockers.
