*new car smell*

as you know Monty, my 04 Monte Carlo which has high miles (for a 5 year old car
). I noticed that the trans was shifting a little harder than normal once the car was fully warmed up. if the car sat shut off for even a few minutes the car would drive smoothly until it warmed up again. I did a search for the symptoms i had and i got multiple similar answers, a transmission pressure control solenoid. of any of you fellow C5 forum people that own a modern front drive GM car with the auto trans ever had this replaced? and if so is it something that (hopefully) can be replaced cheaply? I really hope it is something that is accessible when the trans pan is taken off. I am planning on doing a trans fluid/filter/gasket change soon and would like to have this part replaced while doing that so i do not waste the ATF (i use full synthetic and its a little pricey to replace it TWICE ). so any info would be MOST helpful.

![]() it has been 8 months since i posted this thread, so time for a bump. as i said it only does it when the car warms up and not even all the time when it does, more of a time to time kind of thing but only when the car has been driven non stop (except stopping at lights and stop signs) for about 15-20 min, then there are days when i drive it for almost a half hour and it does not do it at all .
