Not happy

My TPW is this week but I'm not as happy as I thought I would be,
Since ordering the car so far it looks like as of today it will cost me $1,250 more than when I ordered. Now I know incentives can end at any time but losing that kind of money is not pocket change Half of me says suck it up and eat the $1,250 because I knew it could dissapear and the other half says walk away because you feel like you got screwed. On top of that you have to tell the wife"Uhhh Honey, you know that car that I ordered that we don't really need and is only a toy? Well,it's going to cost $1250 more"
Now I know nobody cares if I buy it or not. I guess I'm ticked because a person has it in their head and everything is pretty much set on what it will cost than boom those figures are gone.$1,250 isn't going to make me or break me and I can still do it but man I just don't have that warm fuzzy feeling that I should have. Thanks for reading everyone.

I felt the same way about the "incentive." That is one reason why I went with the dealer who said "if GM discontinues that incentive, I'll guarantee it anyway." He ended up eating it, not me.

I hear ya on that not being chump change. Did you look into the USAA discount?

I am in the same boat. I ordered when the USAA/GM 60 day applied to me. Really sucks but I can't blame GM. I want the car and like you $1250 will not break me but isnt exactly chump change. I am hoping I can get my dealer to meet me in the middle or something.

If it's just going into production you still have to wait on shipping which probably puts you into March and a new incentive period.

Shop around before you cancel it. You can find them at other dealers on the lot. I got a great deal on mine and was a walk-in. It is a great car and I wouldn't trade her for much.

Probably because that could mean the difference between the R/S package and no R/S package, if he didn't already have it ordered with the R/S package.

Your incentive is the first time you sit in your new baby, that was built just for you, and start it up!

yeah, what incentives ended?

maybe the $500 to forego the 60-day return?

where did the other $750 come from?

You may see what the dealers on C5 or your local area and see if someone has something already on the lot and cut a deal? Chevy has a great web ste that you can add your wish list and then searches your local area to see if a dealer already has it. Or just go to your dealer that ordered it and tell em your not happy. They should deal with you or they are not wanting to sell a car.
