Wife says new exhaust needed!

After the installation of the ARH long tubes and hiflow cats, the car has gotten raspy. The wife hates it, lol. Last night she flat stated it was time for new mufflers, I have to tone down PacMan. So.....

I like the Solo XLT, although she thinks it's not deep enough according to the vids. I reminded her that the car in the video didn't have LTs or hiflows. It's also priced good.

I like the Magnaflow axleback, but pricing will most likely keep me away from it.

Maybe I should just add a resonated x-pipe to my current setup? Or do a custom cat back?

Opinions, other options? No real budget, although I don't want to break the bank.

Don't want to try MRT v2.0? Pretty cheap and its axel back.

To be flat honest, I like how the car sounds, lol. It's different. I need to video it, and do a poll, lol.

I'm wanting to try catback this go around for a couple of reasons. First is that I can probably sell my current set up, including JBA shorties, to a friend locally with a 2LT. That will help offset the cost. Second, I want to wring every little bit of performance out of the car, and the ease of which the cat back installs, I hope.

That all said, I like the MRT v2. That was my original choice, but I got impatient and bought the Super 44s currently on the car, and loved how they sounded. scrming was right though when he thought the hiflow cats would drasticlly change the sound.

I just called ARH and the guy there was talkin about installing the 78s on my car along with MRT v2.0. The setup includes Headers, x-pipe and cats. They have a system that goes all the way to the mufflers, but he said since I already have the MRTs just go with that.

The package w/o mufflers is $1895, but they are offering free shipping and special price.

Do it!! ARH is awesome stuff, and if I had to do it over again, it would be ARH all the way out the back!

I would, still not sure yet. Their site only has pictures of the V8 version, and they don't have a audio or video file of the system on the site either. I want to hear it before I splurge

I wish I had ARH all the way out the back. I can tell you that the long tubes fit awesomely, had to tweak factory heatshielding on the gaskets a bit, and the cats/extensions are fine products. The headers also just look way cool under the hood!!

In short, and yes I'm biased, ARH is well worth the money and should be on everyone's shortlist of possible products!

How much power did you end up adding with headers and cats installed?

Can't wait to get my exhaust, I want ARH LT's, but still unsure which axle back to go with, I want something way louder than factory.

16rwhp and 11rwtq over the shorty headers. The shorty headers added ~5rwhp and ~8rwtq over the best pull before their install. So a total of 21rwhp and 20rwtq was gained with the long tubes, cats and tune. Take the tune out, subtract 6rwhp and 1lb-ft of torque, for a total of 15rwhp and 19lb-ft of torque over baseline.

With an SS, this is the v6 forum, lol, you have way more options! In your case, LTs and muffler delete, lol, that should be plenty loud!!
