wrecked my camaro :(

Friday night me and my friend were coming home from her cousins birthday party...came up to a sharp curve in the road and seen a deer, then seen 3-4 more so swerved to hit the first one. hit a mud puddle in the road, then a mud patch causing the wheels to kind of lock up and hit 2 fence posts and bull wire...was stuck in a ditch with one of the posts stuck underneath the car...tow truck came and when pulling the car out of the ditch it ripped the front bumper 3/4 off....waiting on estimate...we were both ok

Sorry to hear this but don't sweat it because you walked away and the car can be fixed. From the looks in the pics you're looking mostly at cosmetics and bumper (assuming the frame isn't bent).

Glad to hear you're okay.

She'll be fine

NO, the Rev limiter is not set to 118MPH... and YES, driving in this manner does affect MPG...

Glad you are ok , from the pics that shouldn't take too much to fix I wouldn't believe as long as the frame is ok.

Dang animals, My father in law died because of an animal running acrossed the road and hitting it. We have to be careful and when it comes down to it you walked away safe thats all that important.

Remind your insurance company a loss caused by an animal is a Comp loss, not Collision and should be non chargable. Many companies will run this through as a collision loss. Possibly no Deductable also depending on your policy and Texas state regulations. Lots of deer here in Ct also- Good luck getting your Camaro repaired.

That sucks..Glad you are ok!

I learned at 17 to not and try to avoid animals at high speed...Ended up taking out a telephone pole instead of a dog when I swerved at 70. The car broke loose sideways and sent me into the pole. Hit dead center so hard the headlights were facing each other. Not a fun night.

I know you tried to avoid an accident, but it would have been better if you had hit the deer. You would have evidence of this in your wreckage - embedded hairs. Now you only have evidence of hitting a fence post. Insurance wise this will probably go against you as an at-fault accident. Not so if you had hit the deer. I hit a deer once. Hairs and blood were specifically looked for. The accident was not charged against me.
