where did my front disc brakes come from or what are they off of.

I had my front tires off and saw the front brakes, they had a rather big hole with splines in it. I couldn't find another post on this so I wanted to see if anyone else has figured this out.
what did my brakes come off of, my guess is a large truck that has 4wheel drive???

You suspect that some guy with a big truck swapped his brakes with yours when you weren't looking?

+1 - I thought OP was referring to the spline that's in the front axles

Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

the Camaro and CTS share the same size rotors and some other brake parts.

could it be they actually made a camaro from scratch why does every part have to come from some other vehicle .did frankenstien build it ? i bet if you tried to interchange rotors from the caddy it will not fit.

Its a nice thought, but GM has not made the Camaro from scratch. Platform, drivetrain, powertrain, suspension, steering, certain brake components... much of this is legacy designs from other vehicles. That is not to say it is not its own vehicle...

They do fit... Racing brake made custom 2 peice rotors for us. The CTS-V racing guys also bought in on the same rotor group purchase.

They are interchangeable with the Caddy..
