Rosetta Stone
Has anyone ever used it?
Thinking about buying an entry level Italian course to use over the summer... Anyone have any experience with the program? Thanks |

Sorry... (had to)
Edit: Nope, but I admire you for attempting to learn something new!! And, yes that's a 10 & 1/2 minute song!

lol nice.
Update for anyone who cares: This stuff is legit. It's expensive, but very effective. I'm 1/4 through the level 1 class, and I already know more Italian than I do Spanish (after taking 4 years of Spanish in a public HS) I'm obviously not all the way through it, but i'd recommend it to anyone based on what I've seen so far. |

I have the level 1 italian. I used it for about an hour before my better half broke the headset. In that one hour, I learned quite a bit of vocab that stuck with me. The program is indeed legit. Once I get a new headset I'll finish it and probably continue seeing as her family is Italian. Highly recommended.

I'd love to get some of those, but the cost is holding me back. How much was the level 1 course for Italian?

Like any way of learning a language, its just as much your dedication to learning it as it is the method you use. If you aren't committed to completing the training and using it in daily life, you aren't going to feel comfortable speaking it and eventually just give up. I know some spanish from having lived in Puerto Rico and Mexico, but I was younger and didn't pursue using it so I have lost 90% of what I learned. I can still pick things from a conversation, but I can't speak it except for the basics.
My mother used it for Spanish recently and was able to relearn a lot from when we were in Puerto Rico and more. It works, but you have to be dedicated to learning it and applying it.
