I know it's a totally different machine, but my Sierra had a 5.3 with the AFM on the highway and was an auto. I'd get around 18-20 on the highway, 13-14 in town.

I haven't reset the average fuel mileage calculator for several thousand miles.
Probably 7 or 8 thousand miles since last reset.
So, this is a "real world" number

About 60% city stop n go, 40% Interstate
The average mpg reading is displaying 19.1

I'm not sure how much the AFM system kicks in with non-highway driving. It supposedly only activates at "cruising speed" when there is limited power required. It wouldn't be active in stop-n-go traffic.

13.5-15.6 on average. All city driving but down here in the flatlands.

Not true. It kicks in all the damn time, from 25 mph and up...which sucks.
