RJT paint pen touch up

Ok, I'm asking for advice on this one. I had a couple of stone chips and some scratches on my car. The car is RJT, and I purchased the paintscratch.com paint pen.

My experience with touch up paints is that I was far better with the pen, then with the bottle.

So I applied the base color, and now the top lighter red and the results look pretty good. I left it overnight, and I have not yet applied clear coat.

I'm thinking the next step would be to wetsand what I have to smooth it out, and then apply clear.

However, my experience has been that when I've applied clear coat unless I spray it, it looks much darker and not as good. This was on my Antique Sage Pearl 2000 Toyota Camry.

Another option I thought about was to not wet sand it, but merely use Quixx to see how the two part polishes work, and not apply clear coat.

If you need pictures I'll have to charge my batteries for my digital camera. The cell phone I doubt can take any decent pictures.

So what do you think, should I not apply clear coat and just use Quixx, or wet sand then apply clear? I also have a tube of scratchx and some rubbing compound if I should just use that.

Nobody?

Well I went ahead without the clear coat, I used Quixx on the touch up spots and I am very happy with paintscratch.com paint pens color matching!

If you look real hard you can find some of the scratches, and it isn't perfect, but I have never known anyone that can get paint chips or paint scratches perfect.
