First car going to be a Camaro. Now..which trim?
Hey guys. Im going to get a 2010 Camaro in the next 2 months so Im wondering which trim to get.
Its down to either the 2LT or the 1SS. I read on chevrolet.com about the differences but I am sure I will get better practical advise from you guys here. I noticed the 1SS has slight difference on the front, but other than that the appearance is basically the same, yes? Thanks

Dude V-8 versus a V-6, come on now. Go with the 100 more hp and worry about the trivial badging differences later!

But the pricing does come a little close as I plan to buy it with cash all at once. Little short on the 30k but might make it if its TOTALLY worth it. |

Yes, in regard to the exterior appearance, the "mail slot" on the front is the most noticable differance between the LT and SS models. The RS option will add a couple more. As for which is best for you, it depends on what is more important to you. The 2LT will have more creature comforts, whereas the 1SS will have more hp. Good luck with your decision!
Welcome to Camaro5! Most of us have had the same questions you probably have now.

![]() What exactly do you mean by creature comforts? And if given the choice what would you choose? Just want to know your opinion as well. |

1lt is cloth, 2lt is leather(+ another thing or two, not sure what) and a 2lt is about 1200 bucks more.
So decide if you want cloth or leather

I'm pretty much like you. I narrowed it down to 2LT and a 1SS.
I ended up coming to the decision of the 2LT. Why? -Leather Seats -Money left over for RS Package -Boston Acoustics -Convienience and connectivity package -Why would I need 400 HP when 304 is PLENTY -I'd rather not pay the extra hundered or so a month for the extra HP and lose the Luxuries 2LT= Luxury for yourself 1SS= Power No disrespect to the 1SS owners out there, but I just don't dig em. I don't like the thought of spending $3,000 more for basically a 1LT with 400 HP Last edited by Dowgg123; 03-27-2010 at 01:10 AM. |

Give a thought for the 2SS. All the creature comforts AND the power! Awsome car.
Good Luck with your decision. ANY Camaro is better than NO Camaro. ! |

But... after the information and opinions I read here, I realized the 2LT wasn't what I wanted. It was without doubt the "smart" choice, but it wasn't the "heart" choice. In the end I went with the 2SS, and haven't regretted it for a second. Personally, I wouldn't have been satisfied with the 2LT... but that's just me. Quote:

Id' go with a 1LT.
-The wheels. -Cloth seats. -Less spent, so you can get more options. -Less desirable/rare, so engine swap is ok. -No mail slot, but a ram air hood is put-on-able. -Weighs less. Enough said. Gettin' my drift?

how old are you ?
Under 21 with no experience in a v8 = you should get the 6 cyl. just my 2 cents and it aint worth much. Be mindful the V8 is no toy and it will hurt you if not respected.
