smog legal?
if I want to change my exhaust to Corsa or Borla... will this affect the smog requirements?

In California, anything down pipe of the catalytic converters has nothing to do with smog and hence requires no C.A.R.B. sticker. It only has to be under 93 db. SO a full cat back system will not affect Smog.

I had a smog inspector fail me just on the visual, even though i had c.a.r.b certifications, on my old car. Primarily for the intake, but he didnt say anything about the exhaust since it passed emissions. You shouldnt have anything to worry about, but if you do anything in the engine compartment, keep your original stuff just in case.

the db has nothing to do with smog. It is just a sound oridinance law for cars Your exhaust can't be over 96 db at 2000rpm. Cat backs have no effect on smog. I work at a smog shop
