Grrrr...

Three hours of driving backroads, PLENTY of non-stupid amounts of speeding. # of tickets? 0

5 seconds downhill in a BS speed trap?

24 over.

F small towns.

And of course, new car, never driven this road before, down a BIG hill, at night, when he caught me I was in town doing 34 in a 35, was SUPER polite. Could he give me a 4-5mph break and make it 19-20, thus not a mandatory court date?

Hell no.

Now I get to drive 3 hours to goto court in a podunk little town because they think dropping it from 55-35 MILES out of town is cute.

Preeeeeetty frustrated...

Now I get to pray they aren't total small town jackasses and I can get it reduced to a non-points offense (pristine driving record btw, up till now).

No flack in 3 hours for driving 5-10 over, even during the little 15 over bursts, nope. An accidental f'ing 5 over, DOWNHILL into a speed trap.

Awesome...

Bummer, small towns like that take full advantage of people from out of town. Stranger + sports car = $$$ in the eyes. Fighting it could potentially make it worse. Some town here in GA will actually increase your fine for fighting it. They justify it because they consider it wasting the courts time (that is after they give your side a ful chance and really really think it over... yeah right...)

Wish you the best, but your probably hosed man

Lawtey and Waldo Florida, both on the way to Gainesville Track. Those of us in Jacksonville go around these towns

one of them (I forget which one) has a bilboard paid for by AAA warning drivers.

There's a small town not to far from where I live that derives 22% of it's revenue from speeding tickets.

My hometown (pop. less than 1500) has a cop that alot of citizens want out because of his LACK of writing tickets. Guess it all depends on what part of the coutry you live in as to how people act.

Welcome to small town USA...the perfect opportunity to try out that other pedal in your new sports car. You know...the one connected to those cool Brembo brakes...

Sucks you got tagged...hopefully you can get it down to something that doesn't raise your insurance rates.

Ya, It's all about the money. I got stopped by a N.Y State trooper in my SS- Way over the limit. Pleaded not guilty, went to court- Reduced to a non moving / no point violation but they still wanted the big $$$$.
