Non-RS Halos HELP!!!

I have a non RS camaro and recently bought a set of red Halos from AAC. I have taken the front off, per videos. No problem. I have baked my headlights, per video. No problem. I have even open my headlights with out breaking anything, per video. But unless I am a complete dumb a**, I cannot figure for the life of me how I am supposed to secure these halo rings inside the head light. They seem like they are way too big. All of the videos I have seen so far are for installation in RS headlights that have a halo carrier ring built into them. It is now Friday night and I have my car completely torn apart with no forward progress until some helps me!!! Oh yeah and AAC of course is closed....damn!
HELP!!!!

The you tube just shows over and over how to install on RS models and the thread says to "just line up the ring and epoxy it". Right , duh, my bad , I never thought of that....if the damn thing lined up with anything I would have already done it! Sorry to be hostile but I am as aggravated as I can be. Because it looks like I am going to have to put my car back to gether just so I can take it apart again next week.

I was only trying to point out what I found posted. I searched for the info. I read all the threads for you too. Yeah I would be upset too. But if your getting upset with the people that are trying to help, your getting upset with the wrong people. If AAC didn't give you the correct install info that's on them.

Sorry SNV. It's 11:40 and I have been staring at these darn things for hours.... I do appreciate the help from you and everyone else on the forum. I can't seem to find anything of value on the internet that clears it up for me. I guess I will call AAC in the morning and see what they can do to help. It just seems weird that they would send the wrong one...

I understand. Don't even worry about it .
I feel your pain. I would love to help but have never had the headlight housing open. So many members are at the fest. Maybe one of them that have done them will pop online before the am. Good Luck.

Just set them inside and center them about the bulb. That's what I did the came out nice! I used the sticky back to hold them in place so the epoxy I used could setup. I used th 15 min JB stuff.

And the led ring goes on the silver reflective plastic. When you put the light back together you cannot see the full ring because the casing in front of it blocks the ring from being completly seen looks sinister.

Well, I got it all back together. Sorry to all of you that had to put up with my hissy fit...
I looked at a few pics of halos on non-RS cars and decided to hotglue the halo to the black headlight frame. I tried silicone at first but it wouldnt dry fast enough so hotglue was the trick. Also, I didn't have any epoxy. Initially I didn't think just lining up and gluing in place would work because the black housing and the reflector back up to each other and have no gap between them. This would cause the clear lens to not seat completely in the back half of the head light assembly because of the extra width of the LED. And I was right. The two pieces will not mate up as perfectly as oroginal. However, it is not nearly as bad as I thought. I didn't do it but I was wondering after the fact if there is any merit in using a dremel and notching the black housing so that the led ring would sit flush and not be mashed between two pieces of plastic. I didn't find any links on the site that gave any details pertaining to this and unfortunately AAC's directions for this left much to be desired. I am pleased with the look of the lights in the end, but while I was doing this it sure felt like I was trying to make a generic universal product fit in a specific application.
Bottom line: centered halos, hotglued in place, silicon sealed two halves of headlight assembly, clamped, added sealant to minor gap, waited 24 hours, reassembled Camaro....piece of cake.

BTW, my camaro looks BADA** with those new red halos!!!
I will post some pics later.

I hope that hot glue holds when the headlamp gets warm. I think I would have made a trip to the store for some epoxy.

Thanks for the info. I'm considering doing the same upgrade myself.
