New Guy to the forum....
Just kinda saying hi, I posted and realized it was my first post in the forum and just kinda wanted to drop my situation on you guys and see what you guys thought.
I am currently a Junior, and will be a Senior this fall, studying civil engineering. I originally planned on looking for a used 05-06 gto because of the ls2 engines, but recently saw that those cars are getting cheaper and not holding as much value as I thought, plus the new camaro=dead sexy. Well I plan on purchasing a Camaro after getting a job after graduation, which should be sometime next May-June, and am basically reading as many posts as I can and trying to learn as much as I can. My dad has a 77 Camaro  sitting in our garage that has been garaged since about 83-86, depends on which parent you ask, but it was in the process of getting torn apart, and that thing got me into camaros originally back when I was just a little guy.Anyways, I will be looking for a Black/Black Auto 2SS combination, unless the 2011 are that much better. Also decided that a blacked out with red light combination would be the sexiest combination ever (or red/black, but then again I think that if you painted it diarrhea green, or rainbow it would still look better than a mustang...) I already have decided that if any power adders are needed the TVS2300 is the best choice as I have read many reviews here and ls1gto.com, all of which are very impressed with flat torque curve. Also, read the information about the CAI, and its pretty interesting that there are no definitive BEST CAI. Basically I was just hoping that if anyone wanted to offer any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them. Just keep in mind that I am looking, but not shopping until next June. I also enjoy reading and seeing everyone's cars.....

 PROJECT?????? Uh............... That's more than a project. lol Wow.. that thing is a pos for sure...................... You fix that up, and you can be DAMN proud....  But, ya, I got hooked with an old 73' Z28 I bought in HS in 86' it was a pos too, but it started the love affair. lol

wlorton, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
