Something funny happened at the car wash today. A Mustang got dissed. :)

I got to the local car wash early this morning to wash my car. As I was washing it I heard a nice sounding exhaust. I looked up to the front of my stall and see a red Mustang go by and around the side and park. It was a GT500 w/ white stripes. A very nice car with a lady driving it which I thought was really cool (and it was hers - I could tell by her personalized license plates). When I'm done washing my car I pull up behind her about 8 ft away to dry mine. The side of the car wash is the only place you can safely park to dry your car. So I get out and pop my trunk, get out my drying towels then walk to the front and start drying the hood. She was drying her trunk. I said "We're going to make all the men jealous when they see us ladies driving these cars."...We both laughed and continued to dry our cars.

So here is the part that made my day: As I was drying the driver's side door, a nice gentleman (who just pulled in) parked behind me and walked up to my car and said "I wanted to see your Camaro. Boy is this nice." He proceeds to look inside and asked me about my wheels (if they came w/ the car). He loved the color (IOM). He wanted to know if I liked it and I said I LOVED it. I told him what mods we have done and what we are doing in the future. He wanted to know if this was my first Camaro and I said no, I had 3rd and 4th Generation plus a Supercharged Monte Carlo and a Dodge Charger R/T. Then he said "So you like performance cars?" and I said yes ever since I was little. He continued to go on and on about my car (how beautiful it was, etc.). By this time I was blushing because I knew the GT500 lady was hearing our conversation. So about 5 more mins of him walking around my car, he said thanks and walked back to his truck and drove away. OUCH! That had to sting her pride a bit because he never acknowledged her car. I felt a little bad :( after that but got over it quickly when she left in a huff (she stomped on it when she pulled out). I mean, I can't help the guy loved my car!

That's funny and I've seen the exact same thing happen.

The GT500 has been out for several years basically unchanged. If they have changed the design, I haven't noticed.

A few small things, like picking up the 2010 Mustang's body as a base anda few badge changes.

Most of the biggest changes have been mechanical and interior.

That is Cool, I haver had similar experiences but not against a GT 500, most have been either V6 or GT mustangs, and one Challenger...

As that one infamous song goes...but REMIXED!

"My Camaro brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like
It's better than her's,
Damn right it's better than her's
I can show you,
But I have to charge"
