wake up call! ahhhhh undercover cops everywhere! lol

almost got my first speeding ticket in the camaro just now...i was doing about 100 on route 66 in gallup where the speed limit was 55 i believe and it was an undercover sheriff that followed me for about 15 minutes after that in a ford f250 and then pulled me over and lectured me and tried to scare the **** out of me (lol and i think it worked)...no ticket though - he said he could have thrown me in jail for the weekend and then asked what my name was and when i told him he said he knows my family very well and just told me that "we don't need that hot rodding **** around here" and let me go...i don't think he would have been so nice (well....he wasn't really nice - but he did let me go) if i had tried to argue with him about it...i just said yes sir i was being very stupid sir....lol very close call

lesson learned....watch out guys - undercover cops are everywhere so lets keep our speeding limited to our track days =]

and p.s. - don't try to fight with cops...just admit that you were being stupid and that's the best chance you'll have at getting off

Spoken like a veteran. Well done and I totally agree.

I still let loose every once in a while but find it easier and easier to just say no to getting Loco like I was when we were young.

Congrats on the free weekend you are about to receive.

Now show up to SMS to make up for it.
Ivan

Cops and their lectures. How silly! Especially Gallup, I don't think they even have a jail there lol.

I have found if you agree and say yes sir, most of the time they will be cool. I'm 42 years old been pulled over I don't know how many times and have gotten off every time. I've gotten several verball warnings and a half dozen or so written ones. Being nice instead of a d!ck head keeps the wallet fat. Haven't been pulled over in the camaro yet, but give me time!!!!!!!! I might be old but I'm young at heart !!

following you @ 100 in an F250? kudos to him.
as fun as it was on the way to the Fest keeping up with y'all, i wouldn't wanna do that in my truck again - let alone a heavier one that handles way worse
