car height with sun roof

hey guys, I've been reading the threads on this forum and after reading about sunroofs, I just wanted to clarify one thing. Does the height of the roof get lowered all around by about 2 inches with the sunroof, or am I misunderstanding something?

thanks

I'm wondering the same thing. In my test drive I believe the roof was so low I was pretty much hitting my head on the ceiling

the mechanism for the sun roof is what lowers the roof on the interior side, the exterior height is the same with or without sunroof.

6'-0", I have problems. Its all about upper torso length.

You have to test drive one to know for sure.

I love a sunroof but decided against it after a test drive. I am 6' 1 and my head was touching the roof.

Yes, it is what they call sitting heigth. AF, Navy, Marines etc use such to see if you fit in such things as fighter jets etc...or at least they use to do such...

Correct... It's all about the torso.

I'm 6'1" and it's not even close because my legs are most of my heighth.

6'0", average leg & torso length i guess... i have the seat adjusted all the way down and slightly tilted, but i'm not laying down like i was a gangsta! my head is about 3-4 inches from the roof, and i do have a sunroof.
