Arrow 0-60 iPhone App

Is it accurate? My friend had the app on his iPhone and we tried it the other night. The speedometer and the iPhone were both showing the same numbers at all times.

There was 3 people in the car, including me, and I launched it with traction control turned off (stability control was on). 0-60 in 5.7 secs. Is that bad? lol

Mine is an automatic btw.

yes, it's very accurate however it has to be mounted properly so it doesn't move. Just throwing it in a cup holder or lying on the dash won't cut it.

wont different suspension strengths on different cars throw it off?

it uses the accelerometer, mount it physically to something solid like the dash and it will be fine.

yeah i get how it works... ive used it before like you said.. and it was kind of accurate...

but say one care had really soft suspension it would move around a lot more when you first accelerate.. wudnt that cause a difference compared to an all-equal car except for stiffer suspension?

I don't see how the suspension would effect it, you mount it to the dash, the dash accelerates along with the car. Now if the dash was constantly moving around then I could see it causing a problem because it would just be like holding it in your hand.

here is the mount I use, proclip http://www.proclipusa.com/ I have compared the times to other devices and they seem to agree. Others have done times with 1/4 timers at a drag strip and it was accurate as well.

I know what your problem is ... try doing this with OUT 3 people in the car and under 1/4 tank gas ... and launch with both turned off .. hold button down for 10sec. you should see both lite up on the dash

If mounted properly it can be pretty darn accurate. The best use of it though is testing the
hp/tq gains of your mods.
