burnout ? for LT RS M6

My car is close to 8k miles on it so it is broken in. Im hesitant to try to do a burn out. Im not sure if reving to 4500 rpms and dropping the cluth is enough. I dont want to buck and then stall it. I have yet to find the sweet spot for fast off the line launches too. Any suggestions??

try launching at 2k with traction control off. You should take off really good.

Now is that dumping the clutch or slipping it?

well its dumping...but I consider this an easy launch and the chances of blowing are less than higher revs.

Keep in mind you could easily burn rubber throughout 1st gear if your not careful. (looks great...not so good on times)

Be sure to turn off the traction control completely, I like to be at 5-5500 when I dump the clutch, no feathering, but a good fast release. Tire wear should be the last thing on your mind when doing a burnout......after all isnt a burnout just a ritual sacrifice to the gods of rubber?
